Born May 13, 1950, Stevland Hardaway Morris was premature with his eyes not fully developed, which caused permanent blindness shortly after his birth. He is the third of six children born to Lula Mae Hardaway. Stevie played many instruments since his early childhood and also sang in his church choir. Berry Gordy signed Stevland to Motown records with the stage name “Little Stevie Wonder.”
