Katherine Hepburn was born into a family of wealth and
opportunity. Her mother, who was a
feminist, taught her how to be an independent woman. Katherine began her acting career after graduating from college. She became successful with her film debut in
1932 “A Bill of Divorcement”. Although
she never married, she made nine movies with actor Spencer Tracy. Hepburn holds the record for being the
winner of the most Academy Awards. She
won four during her career and the American Film Institute calls her the
greatest female movie star of all time, in the American Film Industry.
